If you have never read a Seymour Simon book before, you can start now. He writes great non-fiction books for children and this book is one of them. The whole body series is pretty good and kids who love non-fiction will get the thrill of a lifetime. Especially those who want to become doctors.

If your child (or heck, YOU!) are interested in seeing some fascinating pictures, this is the book for you. My daughter's dance instructor had this book open for the children to view, learning about how to stretch their bodies long and lean, and how the muscles inside their bodies helped them achieve that. The kids were enthralled. I bought a few in this series because of their honest talk and photos, they don't talk down to children in their words. I recommend these to anyone with young children.

What a superb book and superb series and a superb price. I bought this for my daughter and she loves it. She uses it from time to time for school projects and as an educator myself I find myself sharing it with my students. The images are A1 and the content scientific yet presented at a level a child can read (with help). Because it is heavy with supporting images it is easy to read several times - and this really has build my daughters confidence in reading and her approach to attempting harder text.

Look at other books in the series and get a few - if you are into science and want to help younger learners appreciate science you will like these.
