5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great for Guitar
I recently got this tuner for use with my acoustic and resonator guitars. For years I had used a little table-top model from Korg with a built-in mic. In quiet environments that works great, but because it relied on a mic, trying to use it in live or group situations produced unreliable results. This here Musedo clip-on version seems to accurately home-in on the notes...

This is nice and compact and does the job when I am at the local jam session, but it goes thru batteries quick and sometimes is hard to see based on the view you have of it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice idea but does not deliver, August 16, 2009
This review is from: Musedo Clip-On Chromatic Auto-Tuner, Black (Electronics)
This instrument was used on a Cello. It is only suitable for tuning higher notes but not the low ones. Using it otherwise may prove painstakingly hard even if successful. For any given range its pitch range is too narrow for tuning a really badly tuned instrument. If you have a computer at hand it would be wiser to tune it using In-Tune Multi-Instrument Tuner (http://www.musicmasterworks.com/tuning_software.html). I have had excellent experience with it and it works much better. You can download a demo to test it. Overall, a nice idea but does not deliver. I would shy away from it.

None functioning. Switch is bad.Is on when it shouldn't be. Won't work on the low E guitar strings.Almost no visiblity, and the tuner needle doesn't fluctuate at all.May have got a bad unit. 1st representative told me I shouldn't buy off thier outlet.Had no batteries included.Told me to go buy some for the unit.Still doen't work. A refund was offered by second representative.

In quiet environments that works great, but because it relied on a mic, trying to use it in live or group situations produced unreliable results. This here Musedo clip-on version seems to accurately home-in on the notes from only the instrument I'm trying to tune despite any other noise going on around me. Even better, it's really inexpensive for what you get. I now see there are a number of similar models otu from other brands that work on the same principle of a clip on transducer. This is the only one I've tried so far and I'm super happy with it.

It is just an ok tuner if it had an auto shutoff then I would say very good but it had a good price and so was worth the money

I bought this to use on my mandolin. It does read the note, but it is not accurate enough for fine tuning. I got rid of it and now use a Snark, which is extremely good and only a few dollars more.

I liked the size of this tuner and the easy to read display. Lights up difforent color if you need to tune up or down or if you are right on. Works very well me, but the on/off button is a little hard to turn on or off somethimes.

I use this tuner with my acoustic guitar. Just put it on G mode, touch the strings one by one, the screen change colors and turn green when is tuned, very easy. Musedo clip-on work great for me. shipping and deliver on time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast tuner, October 20, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Musedo Clip-On Chromatic Auto-Tuner, Black (Electronics)
This is a very fast tuner, and easy to read.
It doesn't quite rate a "5" because the selector switch is just clunky.
It's placed on the top edge of the tuner in a way that is not easy to see, reach, or manipulate, so it's too easy to set the darn thing in the wrong mode. What's worse, the switch is a tiny black plastic slider, set against a black plastic body, with black markings, and even if you turn yourself into a pretzel to view it dead-on, it's still hard to differentiate the settings. With that very good display screen, they had plenty of opportuity to show the modes on the display, but I guess we wait for that improvement in later versions. Despite this puzzling design shortcoming, this is the best tuner I've used and I definitely look forward to further improvements.
