Product Description

The work of metalheads who have never been afraid to be original. Mushroomhead had a distinctive,
recognizable sound (and a devoted cult following in Cleveland) long before Evanescence, Slipknot, or
Sevendust broke through commercially.-- All Music Guide

MUSHROOMHEAD release their second DVD entitled Vol. 2 on October 28, 2008! It features over 2 hours of unreleased footage both live and behind the scenes. Catch the band as they reveal what drives this crazy, artistic machine.

MUSHROOMHEAD are pioneers in art metal and are at the forefront of this scene. Combining masks with theatrics and a combination of rock and metal, the band creates epic albums that appeal to metal, goth and rock kids. Savior Self continues this tradition, but with a stronger rock sensibility. Their last single cracked the Top 40 on the Active Rock Chart. Similar bands: Slipknot, Tool.

4.0 out of 5 stars Picks up from Vol 1, November 3, 2008
This DVD picks up with the antics of the band pretty much where we left them. The quality of the video is better and the sound is better, but that is to be expected. The off stage stuff is pretty entertaining, but the real reason to get this are the videos. If you liked Vol.1 This is the same, but better. I was suprised that they put in the footage of the in-band-fights. I guess it happens but it was interesting to see it on the DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars MUshroomHEAD Does it again!, September 21, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
OK, so Mushroomhead's second DVD was a great watch, there was a lot more behind the scenes antics that I liked from Vol. 1 and also the music videos and live performances that are awesome! The one thing that shocked me about the DVD is that there was a LOT of J-Mann by the time the DVD was released J-Mann was ex-Mushroomhead communicated, and Waylon was a full member of the band, one shocking thing about the DVD was that they actually showed inner-band tensions between the long-term band members and Waylon. The only things that I did not like about Vol. 2 is that the chapters were seperated by titles instead of normal chapter selection on DVD's and that the bonus features were kind of lackluster, stand-alone music videos for 12Hundred, Simple Survival, Burn, Damage Done, Erase The Doubt, and Save Us/Embrace The Ending (2 separate song 1 long 9 minute video). A Making of for Save Us, Commentary on the music videos, and deleted scenes/outtakes. Now while there were no deleted scenes on Vol. 1 the addition of them on Vol. 2 was a welcome surprise but, I thought that there should have more footage added to the deleted scenes, and less in the outakes, the outakes were more deleted scenes and less outakes and the deleted scenes were more Making Of, for Save Us and less deleted footage from the actual Vol. 2 footage.

3.0 out of 5 stars Was Expecting Better LIVE Stuff, August 11, 2009
By D. P. Conrow "Brother-Boy" (Ft Lauderdale, FL USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Big MRH fan! Have seen them live 4 times in ft. lauderdale,(with J Mann & Waylan), The live show is great! they're music is great! Wish they would do a whole live show(with at least 4or5 cameras)on the DVD. They do one song
(1 camera from drummers -Stitch- view, the audio SUCKS).
The music videos are cool(whats up with the chicken?), After buying Vol.1,
(3 years ago)(WHICH I LIKED BETTER) Hoped Vol.2 would be a little better production level.
Some of the "Day-in-the-life" stuff was funny(some nice Booby shots)
All-in-All, If you love MRH you'll like the DVD(it was worth the $8 i spent)
