Miriam Rice opens our eyes to the astonishing array of colors that can be extracted from many types of fungi. She names the mushrooms, tells us where to find them and how to dye yarns with them, primarily wool and silk, to get all the beautiful colors you could ever desire.
Now that many years have elapsed since this book was published, I wonder what other magic things she has been up to with fungi and hope she will let us in on her latest finds very soon! |
