This recording by Kerilos covers a lot of the same material on the Paniagua CD, however, the Kerilos version is far more sombre in effect (sombre is good). Paniagua's treatment is tighter, wittier and more natural. The solo singing on Kerilos is far too operatic, souring the mood and the heavy French-accented Greek recitation is hard to forgive. I personally enjoy this darker rendition, but it does have its failings.
