This music is as beautiful as the best classical music. It's definitely not typical New Age because it has gorgeous melodies, harmonies, counterpoint and form. In the liner notes it says that Gerald is a trained classical composer who has practiced Yoga and meditation for many years. It really shows in the music because it is something really special. It's some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard....even more beautful than much of the music in my classical collection. The instruments are also breathtaking. It's sounds like a classical orchestra but with synthesized sounds that sound like.... well heaven, and gorgeous choirs of what sound like angels and another of monks. The music seems to penetrate into the cells of my body and relax them. I've really never heard anything quite like it. I would like to purchase more of his albums.
