wicked!, May 18, 1999

Excellent record, mixes eno style ambience with howie's trade mark beats and scratches. If Brian Eno makes music for airports Howie B makes music for maternity wards. Still his best work.

Howie's best album!, October 11, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Music for Babies (Audio CD)
I've got almost every Howie B album and I can assure you that this is still his best work to date. The ambience of each song flows into one another, creating beautiful, diverse and unusual electonic soundscapes.
This album also has a very human feel to it...quite amazing when it is an electronic record. I also love the fact that most song structures keep me guessing after numerous listens.
Best track by a long shot is "Allergy" - 9.5 mins of pure beat pleasure. Look out for the funny middle section during Away again...had me in stitches!
Howie is still the man!!!

Too playful and creative to be labeled 'ambient', October 14, 2006
This review is from: Music for Babies (Audio CD)
So, there's not many reviews for this timeless release. This disc is like Brian Eno meets Jazz meets Dub meets impressionism. I'm not listening to it very often (though I did) but each time it is with a real pleasure. Highly recommended.
