5.0 out of 5 stars once again cEvin key takes it to the nExt level...
at first, you won't know what to think of it... but the more you explore it, the more you will understand the brilliance within the music cEvin key. his music does take effort in understanding, but it's an experience worth having. a mesmerizing trip into a realm of sound, space and complexity in which all boundaries are overwhelmed and the works of a creativ genius...

3.0 out of 5 stars lah dee dah
Genesis Orridge's presence is certainly felt on this cd. Cevin is inventive but since Dwayne passed... that synergy / energy aint there anymore. This one is good after a nice 4:20 session. The jamaican samples make me wish he'd do an all Dub/Reggae kind of cd sometime. Or maybe collaborate with Ryan Moore of Twilight Circus fame.

5.0 out of 5 stars Music For Cats, March 8, 2007

Music for Cats by Cevin Key is an electronic work of art! Track one starts out with an almost orchestral track that leads into the second track which has more of a dance beat but with a lot of layers (like most other Key projects do). It has the occasional track with Genesis P Orridge which gives it sort of the Download feeling! It is kinda of like a circus of industrial, electronica and noise! If you like Skinny Puppy,Download or any other Cevin Key projects, you will love this!

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible! This album will blow your mind., February 25, 2001

This is one of the best and most challenging pieces of music I've ever come across. Key's work is visionary, if somewhat frightning. Anyone who is into more than just top 40 crap should hear this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Little cEvin and the Wolf, March 16, 2001

Ha, cEvin did good job here. To be frank, and arty-zation and intellectuali-zation apart, you will need around 220 listening before being accustomed to... a masterpiece. Off with pretentious analysis, this record is full of blahhh and ploks but is completely entertaining. It's the "No sleep til Hammersmith" (motorhead) of electronic tweaking. Except for Genesis P-Oridge, who begins to sound (and be used) like some cement to intellectual music, the rest is real pleasure. If you do, like me, listen to a lot of more "listenable" things (er, Boulez), go for this one. Big fun for everyone. Ok, we can't dance on it (except if you don't care looking like a abnormal). Also : don't search for any influence for Peter and the Wolf, other than the cover and (maybe) the end of the quite malicious first song.

Buy this for song 8 and 10. Beautiful music with a kick and some humor, too. What more can you ask for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow., June 4, 2000
This review is from: Music for Cats (Audio CD)
I just heard this CD and I'm very impressed. Some particularly cool tracks are 'bird', 'beauty is the enemy', and especially 'have you ever felt like this?' (that one's kind of scary). Buy this CD; you're sure to love it.

I love this album, love it. It's a big organic and wonderful adventure. Not very fun to listen to whilst driving though. Also, cats are great too.
