5.0 out of 5 stars MCC provides an outsider with an inside view of Nashville., August 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Music City Confidential (Hardcover)
My musical background inspired me to pick up the book, and the suspenseful plot kept me from putting it down. Music City Confidential showed me a side of country music that I didn't know existed. Dan Tyler has truly proven that he is as talented a novelist as he is a songwriter!

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for suspense novel enthusiasts., July 31, 1998
This review is from: Music City Confidential (Hardcover)
Dan Tyler has demonstrated that a writer's first novel can be SUPERB. When Hollywood mogul Mason Reed came to town, nobody could have imagined the secrets he brought with him. But Tommy Price, a want-a-be songwriter found out. Tommy exposes the corruption to news reporter Jonetta Jordan putting her life in danger. What follows is suspense and excitement centered around a corrupt Nashville music scene full of payoffs, drugs, and murder. Tyler is a master throughout the novel as he never seems to reveal too much too soon. The vivid characters (Tommy, Jonetta, Mason, Gus, Susan, Sonny Boy, Mavis, and Ruby) and realistic plot create a sense of anticipation and you won't want to put the book down. This 200 page, quick read, culminates with a surprise ending that you won't believe. If you're a suspense novel enthusiast, Music City Confidential is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick and enjoyable-suspense filled., August 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Music City Confidential (Hardcover)
A story of suspense presented with the music business as its background. The characters are colorful and could easily represent well known characters in the music industry. If you're interested in suspense, humor, and irony, this is a must read. The surprise ending is really a surprise!
