5.0 out of 5 stars Music to Die For . . . But Don't!, May 22, 2009

This review is from: Music to Die For (Audio CD)
It's interesting, the various approaches to the same subject: death. From beginning to end, it's a beautiful, moving celebration of life. Not recommended for listening in the car because some of the pieces are very soft and will be difficult to hear over the ambient noise of driving. Other pieces are louder, and all are wonderful. The Gorecki is a particular, personal favorite. From the other end of the spectrum, so is "O Fortuna."

I really enjoy classical music. I heard one of the pieces on the radio and had to have it.

5.0 out of 5 stars For the non cassical music listener, February 7, 2010
This review is from: Music to Die For (Audio CD)
If you aren't particularly into classical music, and want a good sampler this is a great cd. At least it was for me. The compilation is well matched, with a melancholic mood. almost all of the songs are recognizable, and even the ones that aren't are still very good.
