One of David Munrow's best efforts in Early Music,

For many years this has been my personal favorite of the LP's released of recordings by the Early Music Consort of London. I think it holds up to the test of time very well! Not all performances of Early Music by any ensemble continue to shine a positive light on music of the era they cover. This is an exceptional recording.

David Munrow turned me on to early music thirty-five years ago. His entire work was produced on CD format about ten years ago. One can only wonder what would have happened to music if not for his untimely death. Anything done by him is well worth the price.
