Skitch Henderson, notable soloist and famed conductor, trained in the classical music (pupil of Fritz Reiner, Roger Aubert, Albert Coates and Arnold Schoenberg) declared: " The French horn is the most attractive cousin of the piano family when the two are combined in the way that Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky used them."

This admirable judgment explains why this combination has so many adepts in the chamber music genre. The special intimacy, the inimitable complicity and the accurate coupling between these two instruments.

Mozart wrote admirable, excel and illuminated pages around this instrument. His well reminded of four Horn concerts is part of the elite of sublime pieces of the genius of Salzburg. Beethoven wrote a lovable quintet as well as Mendelssohn, but perhaps no other composer devoted it so many hours like Johannes Brahms in Germany and Gabriel Faure in France.

Of course, over the years, there have been other names, other nationalities and a variegated specter of possibilities. During the XX century composers like Paul Hindemith and Richard Strauss also paid attention about this instrument.

But the main difference we may perceive in Faure is its flawless structure, unmistakable panache and never ending lyricism.

Here you have a wide rank of music composed by Schubert, SDchumann and Nielsen.

Touch of class: touch of genius.
