This review is from: Music Games (CD-ROM)
Kept my kids practicing! -- The specific drills on this program were particularly helpful in targeting different skill areas. Here's a quote from the software, since Amazon isn't publishing one.
"Multimedia Music Games by Voyetra is a fun way to test your knowledge and build musical skills with three video arcade-style games you can play on your PC. Music Quiz tests your knowledge of general music topics dealing with music history/literature. Rhythm Master lets you match rhythms you hear with what you see on the screen. And NoteBlaster lets you read musical notes and blast them off your computer using the on-screen keyboard or an external MIDI keyboard. There are three levels of difficulty in Rhythm Master to select from, which can cover elementary school through advanced middle school. Installation is very simple and you can run the program literally out of the box without any instructions. Each game can be configured with one or two people keeping score, so as to build some competition between two students. Can you think of a better way to stimulate the best work from your students than to reward them by allowing them to play Multimedia Music Games and, at the same time, give them instructional experiences as well?
