Unless you are really excited about using music to teach your child to be green (and your child is old enough to comprehend the new words to the songs), go with unchanged music and teach green later.

A Breath of Fresh Music,
By Claudia Richards "Claudia" (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Music for a Green Planet (Audio CD)
We listen to a lot of kids' music, but "Music for a Green Planet" is really different from most of the other stuff out there, which is what I really like about it. First of all, there are not many jazz CDs for kids - but the music is really accessible. And it's very sophisticated, too, so I really like it as much as the kids do. They can relate to it because they're familiar with the tunes ("This Old Man," "Coming Round the Mountain," "Fiddle-Dee-Dee"), but the other thing that sets this CD off are the lyrics. They're about our environment and how we can make a change - important things that kids should know and in fact have heard about, but this CD makes concepts like solar energy and turbines understandable. And, quite frankly, "Things We Throw Away," sung by this amazing little girl, has made us much more conscious of all the waste in the world and how it's just with the little things that we can make a big difference. My whole family is much more aware and thoughtful and I really appreciate a CD that has inspired so much conversation.
