Ronnie Montrose's best instrumental album,
By
This review is from: Music from Here (Audio CD)
Surpassing the brilliance of 'Open Fire', this album is the most diverse and creative of Ronnie Montrose's albums. Along with Ronnie's usual excellent guitar work, Craig Mcfarland does a terrific job on bass. You can hear his fine work on the cut Indigo Spheres.
Songs on the album range from a fast paced Mr Walker to a moody Fear Not. Every cut on this album is entertaining and well produced. The only exception may be Walk Softly, which doesn't quite fit in. All in all an excellent choice for anyone wanting to purchase a good rock instrumental album. This guy is just as talented as Jeff Beck, and the work on his instrumental albums is far different from the stuff he did on his earlier Montrose vocal albums

Please excuse the vagueness (and cheasieness) of this review but I can't say anything more than buy the album if you want to listen to a soundtrack of great music that takes the listener on a journey through emotions and landscapes. Beyond excellent.
