Great for practice or halfas!,
This review is from: Music for the Hips (Audio CD)
This is definitely not "traditional belly dance" but it draws on trad. music in a very cool way, which would make it accessible for folks who are exploring Middle Eastern music and dance for the first time. The beats are varied and have different flavors and even someone who is not a belly dancer would enjoy listening/grooving to it. Also would be good for soundtrack for a beginner class or dance party.

When I'm not practicing zills or doumbek to this CD, I'm shakin' it to the music!
Fun party and practice disc- highly recommend it to anyone who likes upbeat ME music....a must for all dancer's and musician's music library!

This album takes me on a ride from the popular Arabic 70's into today's housy dance seen. I like the energy and the continuity of the music, although the intro is my favorite part of the CD, Linda Linda song just picks me up and makes me feel happy, glad to see someone remixing all these good songs.
