2.0 out of 5 stars Don't you hate it when somethin' is almost good?
There's a three guitar attack, the opening track is called "puller" and there's a track called "fountains of pain"! So why two stars? Because Jai Diablo can't sing! This band could be on to something different and could actually create a nice little niche' for themself if they could find a new singer. It's almost painful to listen to. jai is so tone deaf that it takes...

This album blew me away... I first heard of this band when they opened for Filter in London England... When they came out... I thought.. Oh great... another horrible opening band we have to suffer through. With a tattoed covered lead singer, a guitar player that looks like dave grohl with a cowboy hat, and another guitar player sporting a mowhawk who almost perfectly resembled the leader of the motorcycle gang in Weird Science (remember the part when the two [guys] had to prove themselves to the preppy girls during their party) I really thought we were definatly in for [something not so good]. But when they started playing it was almost like magic... the whole band was pushing the limit, you could see they enjoyed playing and being together. There was so much energy and stage presence from all of them.. I know for a fact they definatly won over not just me but many other fans just during that one show... I SERIOUSLY RECOMMEND THIS ALBUM!!!! BE THE FIRST TO BUY IT NOW WHILE IT IS [less expensive], BECAUSE I THINK WHEN THEIR MUSIC HITS THE MAINSTREAM... YOU'LL BUY IT ANYWAY...

4.0 out of 5 stars good stuff, February 22, 2004

I have to say i'm more into the heavy stuff(death, hardcore, black metal) but this cd was a very good purchase. It's hard to explain what they sound like but if I had to pick one band it would be HELMET but faster and a little more melodic. From a true metal-head who likes it as hard as it gets this was a good change of pace and a nice little album. Get it!

4.0 out of 5 stars great cd, worth a listen, November 20, 2003

This is one of the greatest cds I've listened to in awhile. How can I describe this music... its like punk-metal or something. Very interesting and original. Could use some guitar solos, but hey thats just my personal taste.
The vocalist goes great with this style of music, his voice fits it perfectly. The only problem is that when the music hits a slow point, or they come to a slower type song, the singer keeps his raspy singing voice, when, to me, it would have been better to tone it down a little.
Also, a lot of the songs sound a bit... monotonous. The lyrics could use some work as well, I mean they have repeated lyrics on DIFFERENT SONGS, for God's sake. I've heard the words "nothing left to do" at least ten times throughout the album. (seems like that anyway.)
But you would hardly notice the little bugs, because the music is great and entertaining. I just wish they could've added a bit more variety.

After seeing the video for "SIMPLE MINDED" I knew that this band was worth the expense of a new cd. I was definately impressed. They have a bluesey, heavyness to them that stands out in todays monotone hard rock scene. The lead singer has a great voice and while he sounds unique enough to make them stand out, he doesn't have to bark like a wild animal to gain your attention. I would reccomend this cd to anyone who is looking for a fresh new hard rock cd, but doesn't want another cd that sounds like all the rest in their collection. Great Job Dragpipe, put out another one.

Great CD! It has been in my truck from the day it came out. unique vocals give this band a one-of-a-kind sound, and with three guitars attacking at the same time, you can't go wrong. Every track is good in it's own way. I just wish they had more out. Pick it up and I doubt you'll be sorry.

This disc is the "Apetite for destruction" of the 21st century. It's the best disc your not listening to. With minimal down time this is a solid disc front to back and a fresh, kicken sound. Buy it, buy it now and thank me later.

This band puts alot of energy in their cd. The music rocks and if you don't have this cd buy it now. The sound is something that is missing from the business right now and Dragpipe is bringing it back. If you like hard at your face music this cd is what you been waiting for. They are one of the best bands out there now watch out for them to explode. You will be hearing alot of them to come.

4.0 out of 5 stars One of The Future Bands of Metal..., December 25, 2002

I first saw Dragpipe play at the Locobazooka tour in Portland, Maine. I did not know what I was in for. They were the first out of about 10 bands and they kicked total ...! Even though I haven't heard the album's entirity I have a sample CD from the show and a few other songs from the computer and I love em all. Dragpipe will not go away any time soon. They are seriously going to be one of the best metal bands in the near future. I just wish the future would hurry.

This band could be on to something different and could actually create a nice little niche' for themself if they could find a new singer. It's almost painful to listen to. jai is so tone deaf that it takes away from 3 guitars blaring crunchy nu-metal riffs you could crack your teeth to. Unfortunatly this album is dissapointing, I would only reccomend this album on two conditions, First you don't care about vocals you just want something to turn up real loud, or second, you are in a band and want to hear the potential that a three guitar band has.
