4.0 out of 5 stars Great for One-Man Bands
Sometimes you have problems with your band. Problems that make you want to part ways with fellow bandmates. If such a situation rises, I recommend continuing your music creating with Music Maker.

Music Maker provides hundreds of different music samples to arrange into a song, from usual guitar parts, drum loops, and basslines, to unusual keys, strings,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Very fun, and fairly easy to use.
This is a pretty good game for only 10 bucks. I am not a gamer hardly at all. All I use my Playstation for is to play this game, and a couple other games once in a while, and play DVD's.
But there was one limitation that made it difficult for me to continue being creative. You could not change the tempo.

There also are a couple of quirks in te way it works. You have to arrow down to go down from the track window to the sample window, which makes it kind of a pain. I was hoping they would come out with a new version. The drum machine sounds are pretty cheesy, but the drum loops are good quality. You can also sequence the music, instead of just using loops, which is a real plus.

Sometimes you have problems with your band. Problems that make you want to part ways with fellow bandmates. If such a situation rises, I recommend continuing your music creating with Music Maker.

Music Maker provides hundreds of different music samples to arrange into a song, from usual guitar parts, drum loops, and basslines, to unusual keys, strings, percussion, etc. You can also chop, screw, mix, speed up, slow down, do pretty much anything you want with each sample, making it your own.

My favorite part would be the section that allows you to program drum beats from scratch. As a guitar player, I greatly enjoy writing a song on my guitar, and then mixing a custom beat to underline it. My only complaint is that you don't have total control over the BPM speed, but it hasn't been too much of a problem for me.

Overall, if you're interested in music, and enjoy creating, I'd recommend this item. Make a thrash/metal drum track. Compose a hip-hop instrumental to rap along to. Mix one of those techno songs you always have to put up with in clubs. If you enjoy creating music as a hobby, this game is for you.

I've written over 20 songs with this. Yes, you can make your own beats, music videos etc. The genres of music you can make include:

-Pop/Rock
-Hip-Hop
-Soul
-Latin
-House
-Disco (Techno/Trance)

or you can combine all of these together and make a weird song. If you haven't got this game, get it today. Even my friend Steven played and loved it. So get it today!

Music MakerI really like this game a lot. It lets you create songs and your friends won't believe you did it yourself. If you like this, you will really love Magix Music Maker Deluxe Edition which not only lets you create your own music, but you can add your voice or other instruments to your creation as well.

Creative. Nostalgic. Easy. Entertaining. A must have! Music Maker does exactly what its name entails--allows you to make your own music. It features many different beats, loops, vocals (which are quite funny), and video backgrounds from a variety of different music genres for you to play around with. Who knows-- you just may be the next Pharrell, Timbaland, or Scott Storch just by producing a simple song from Music Maker. I made songs that even my family members now remember this very day.

I orginally bought this "game" a few years ago, but unfortunately mine gained alot of scratches after awhile. One day something told me to look this software up, and it was there--for a VERY low price at that! Thank god for Amazon--you seriously can relive your childhood here.
