"Life On A Chain" - Pete Yorn

Biography

His fifth solo studio effort and Vagrant Records debut, Pete Yorn sees the Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter peeling away the baroque orchestrations of his critically acclaimed previous work to expose a beating rock ‘n’ roll heart. Much of the eponymous album’s remarkable raw power comes courtesy of producer Frank Black, who in 2008 invited Yorn up to a Salem, Oregon studio for some spontaneous… Read more in Amazon's Pete Yorn Store

4.0 out of 5 stars Some Petie for your Yorn?, October 28, 2002
By
Deborah J. Mans (Maputo, Mozambique) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Music for the Morning After (Audio CD)
When I first got this record I must've listened to it a trillion times (at least). It's some damn good stuff, man. (In My Opinion, The Best Songs On The Record Are: "Sleep Easy" "Life On A Chain" "June" "For Nancy" "Black" "EZ") But ... Then I read into the lyrics and was a bit dissapointed. I find Pete Yorn to be immensely talented though. Maybe I'm just used to really direct lyrics. I think he has a beautiful voice and his stuff is quite catchy and nice. I definately recommend Music for the Morning After!
