5.0 out of 5 stars Takato Nishizaki and Mozart really make music
In our day to day stressful lives an experiment was conducted a few years ago to demonstrate the effect of classical music on the action of mice. In the same experiment the background music was changed to the modern beat. The mice were able to perform all tests presented to them during Mozart interludes and were confused on the Mau Mau background music. How can anyone...

3.0 out of 5 stars Important to remember it's not proven
It's important to remember that the Mozart effect has not been proven. The behavioural consequences of listening to Mozart is not unique, and can be achieved with any classical music, since the mozart effect has nothing to do with behavioural consequences, but subtle changes in the brain. The pattern of Mozart's music is thought to correspond to a coding mechanism of...

5.0 out of 5 stars Takato Nishizaki and Mozart really make music, October 20, 1999
This review is from: Music For The Mozart Effect, Volume 1, Strengthen the Mind (Audio CD)
How can anyone not like, enjoy absorb "Allegro from Piano Concerto # 1 in D K 107". This rendition is wonderful both from the artistry standpoint and the quality of the CD.As a pianist and a Mozart afficiendo I can honestly say this is a great CD. It really makes driving from Boston to the suburbs an experience. Bill Cridland Bolton MA

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful background music - anti-stress!, September 10, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Music For The Mozart Effect, Volume 1, Strengthen the Mind (Audio CD)
I borrowed this CD from a co-worker after hearing it playing in his office. I was already interested in the Mozart effect after seeing how much my infant daughter loved her "Baby Mozart" video. I play this CD on my computer while I work in the office - I really think it keeps me more relaxed and focused while I'm working. I don't get as stressed out. I liked it so much that I did an internet search for it - thanks to Amazon.com, I'm ordering my own copy today. I also plan to play it in my car CD player - my daughter and I will both enjoy it! I highly recommend this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent music to work to!, April 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Music For The Mozart Effect, Volume 1, Strengthen the Mind (Audio CD)
This CD provides an wonderful environment in which to work and concentrate. It is energizing enough to provide a benefit, but not intrusive. What is truly amazing, it least from my point of view, is that it can also be relaxing. I have no formal music training or knowledge. But, even to me, the music is enjoyable and interesting. Even if you do not necessarily like classical music, you will enjoy it.

I have used this CD in a number of circumstances that required I be very focused. It worked wonders. I found that not only was I able to focus on my work but also I could readily recall what I needed to later. I have used it in work and in school. It is amazing that it works so well. I have always loved Mozart but this is a new way to enjoy him.

This and John McArthur's, HIDDEN album, will be the best solo piano albums and the most relaxing of the 21st Century. And both are going to be hard to beat. A must for any lover the ivory, wood and keys. And people who like to dream.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mozard Effect... Which Songs?, December 2, 2005
By
This review is from: Music For The Mozart Effect, Volume 1, Strengthen the Mind (Audio CD)
It's also important to remember that the Mozard Effect... was mostly studied using Mozart's Sonata in D for two pianos. Although all classical music may have good side effects when it comes to learning and concenrtration and stimulating of the mind, most studies used Mozart's two pianos sonata. Which isn't on this album. And the reasoning behind it's benefits are possibly due to the nature of having "dueling" pianos making complex harmonics. Just remember to buy this because you like Mozard, not because you think you are going to make your children geniouses. That's just a bunch of hype.

5.0 out of 5 stars Virtual wonder for academic excellence! Timeless CD!, February 22, 2002

This review is from: Music For The Mozart Effect, Volume 1, Strengthen the Mind (Audio CD)
If there is one music CD that will change every person's life, this is it. It is known to enhance a person's concentration. What more could you ask - learning while listening to music. Advice to students: if you want to accumulate academic medals of excellence from grade school to college, if you want to be the best worker you can be - a doctor, a lawyer, programmer, this is the CD to buy. Not even other kind of music - pop, ballad, rock and roll, rap, jazz, can equal the impact this can bring. Taking and passing board examinations, certifications will be a breeze when one combines the Mozart CD with great effort (which becomes effortless) of studying.

I purchased this CD for use as background music when my children (6, 9 and 10) are doing their homework. The music is perfect and creates a great atmosphere for concentration. The selections have just enough energy to motivate without being overwhelming. Definitely recommended!
