5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy construction and excellent design
I purchased the On-Stage Keyboard Stand for use with my 49 key Roland Alpha Juno One. I was a bit hesitant to buy the "standard" model because the Roland is a rather hefty keyboard. However, after receiving the stand, assembling it (like securing the feet/arms with four small bolts into threaded holes in the "x" frame is "assembly!), and positioning the Roland on it, it...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad but
Pros:
It seems quite well made.
The latch to set it up and change height is VERY convenient.

Cons:
Although it appears quite sturdy it still bounces easily if you hit the keys just a little bit.
Watch out for the height, the lowest height of 27" + keyboard is quite high if you sit.

I purchased the On-Stage Keyboard Stand for use with my 49 key Roland Alpha Juno One. I was a bit hesitant to buy the "standard" model because the Roland is a rather hefty keyboard. However, after receiving the stand, assembling it (like securing the feet/arms with four small bolts into threaded holes in the "x" frame is "assembly!), and positioning the Roland on it, it was more than sufficiently sturdy and fit the Roland like a glove. The mechanism that allows you to adjust the height or fold the stand completely with one hand is both well made and useful. This is a very nice product and you can't beat the price!

All I needed was a simple keyboard stand that didn't take up a lot of space. I got it... with the stability that I needed

5.0 out of 5 stars A good generic stand, November 25, 2009

I got this stand almost a month ago, and I like it. It's holding up a Yamaha EZ-200 keyboard (61 keys).

Here are the features I like about it:
* Pretty easy and quick to assemble - the legs are color coded
* Easy to change the height - though it's not a smooth range, you have 5 specific heights available, and that's it
* Holds up my keyboard just fine - I play sitting down and don't put too much "oomph" into my playing, but it's a solid item
* Price - This stand doesn't promise to be tailor made for any specific keyboard. It works just fine and the price is really reasonable (on Amazon at least LOL!)

It shipped super quickly, too, even with the Super Saver shipping. I recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for a light weight keyboard!, August 4, 2009

Originally, i bought this stand for my 61 (or 66? i dont remember the exact number) key yamaha keyboard (about 15 pounds- if that heavy.) works great, unfolds easily and stores easily. assembly was a sinch and all the tool(s) are included for the 10 minute job. I upgraded keyboards not too long ago (to the 35 or 40 pound 81 key Casio px-120) That changed things a little bit- the stand holds the keyboard pretty well, but it isnt truly suited for the job. The sheer weight of the keyboard makes the stand rock quite a bit (which is why im upgraded to a more heavy duty stand from on-stage) so beware of that. i use my stand on the lowest level, which works just fine for sitting. All in all, a high quality yet inexpensive stand for your lightweight keyboard. If yours is a heavy one, spend the couple pennies and get a heavier stand, dont risk getting the wobbles while playing ode to joy.

The fact that the feet are bolted, not welded on, means this stand isn't really that sturdy at all. Even with no weight it wobbles. Not recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good; not quite compatible with the Casio Privia, February 10, 2010

This review is from: Music People KS8190 On Stage KS8190 Single Braced Keyboard Stand (Electronics)
This stand was simple to assemble, stable, and suits my purpose as an intermediate piano player, however it it does not quite fit the Casio Privia series keyboard I own. The keyboard is a little narrow for the stand (from front to back), so it tends to slide toward the stand's back rubber stoppers while I play. Playing with the keyboard resting against the back stoppers is fine, however this doesn't provide a perfect parallel angle with the floor.

Finally, as noted by previous reviewers, the stand is also very tall (adjustable heights meant for use seated or while standing). The lowest setting is okay for me, an adult who is 5'9", while seated on a tall bench, but I'd consider another model for players more than a few inches shorter than me.

The stand works well for a lighter keyboard, it is good quality for the price. Not concert quality for a professional band player, but works well for a kid (or a parent) trying to learn how to play in the spare time.

3.0 out of 5 stars excellent stand-bad customer service, October 13, 2010

This review is from: Music People KS8190 On Stage KS8190 Single Braced Keyboard Stand (Electronics)
I ordered 6 of these stands since I teach a group keyboard class. The stands are excellent quality, nice and sturdy, easy to assemble, and the "squeeze-trigger-easy-release" makes them super easy to take up and down, which I do twice weekly! HOWEVER, I paid extra for expedited shipping since I needed them by a certain day, and they did NOT arrive on that particular day. I called the company and they said "sorry, for some reason they were sent regular ground shipping so they should be there in 3 more days"...they SAID they would credit me for the additional shipping, which I have yet to see. Not great customer service!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really like this!, September 1, 2010

I bought this after I had purchased my Casio CTK-5000 in hopes of having a good general keyboard stand. This product met and exceeded my expectations. I have very little issues with it rocking or moving like some reviews have claimed. The adjustable frame works very well, especially if you pair it up with the adjustable bench. (search for on-stage keyboard bench) I recommend this to anyone interested.
