Grainger Vol. I,
This review is from: The Music of Percy Grainger: Volume I (Audio CD)
This is Vol. I of IV that were recorded by the University of Houston. The conductor for the first three was Eddie Green and the fourth is Tom Bennett. The series was sponsored, in part, by the International Percy Grainger Society. While Vol. III and IV offer the best quality of performance and recording techinque, this is still one of the best recordings of Graingers band music. The CD's are from Mark Custom Recording and can be bought for the same price new by ordering directly from the Internet.
The Vol. I, II, III and IV contain all of Graingers original band works and the major transcriptions.
