5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Variety of music, May 10, 2005

No matter what kind of music you like, this cd has something for everyone. It would make a great gift for a baseball fan, but I just love the variety all together in one place. The recordings are great! I especially love Coco Crisp's (Cleveland Indians) original rap called "We got that thing". I wouldn't be surprised if it became a hit on national radio.
I'm in L.A. and Kelly Wunsch (Dodgers) does a great version of John Mellencamp's 'Hurts so good'. And then there is Omar Vizquel's version of 'Broadway' by the Goo Goo Dolls in his own accent! It's really fun! And if you like country music, there are some great selections there too. Check it out. You can hear a bit of all of it at the production company's site - goodsportsrecordings.com

I love this cd because i am coco's number one fan. The music was great. Ben's and Omar's songs were great, and "Hurts so good" was also cool. This cd is a must buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Baseball Players Get Down & Dirty - - sort of, March 9, 2006
This review is from: Oh Say Can You Sing? Music Recordings By Major League Baseball Players (Audio CD)
The vocals on this CD are actually much better than I expected. I mean, they are baseball players first and then singers second (I assume). But they all did a fine job and I think my favorite would be Coco Crisp - he really gets down! The CD represents a wide range of styles, too - country, rap, hip hop, blues, rock, and will delight any musical baseball fan. I'd say this selection defintely hits a home run with this listener.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who Knew They Could Sing?, August 3, 2005
This review is from: Oh Say Can You Sing? Music Recordings By Major League Baseball Players (Audio CD)
I was surprised at how well these guys could sing! I think they all have great voices, plus it was nice to see these guys out of uniform. Even though I don't like rap Coco & Jimmy songs were pretty fun to listen too. I also loved Aubury Huff's verison of "Letters From Home". I think this is a must buy for any baseball fan!

5.0 out of 5 stars holly crap they can sing!, July 19, 2005

I was pleasantly suprised when I heard this CD. Because I was expecting a bunch of jocks giving us a reason to stick to their day jobs. But I was wrong. The best on here was Ben Broussard of the Indians because that boy can sing. Ozzie Smith though could sing pretty well to my suprise. So over all this cd is really good.
