About this CD: The music on the CD is from the collection of manuscripts belonging to the Royal Monastery of Santa Cruz in Coimbra Recorded at Charterhouse Chapel in October 1992 Choir Cambridge Taverner Choir Conductor Owen Rees António Carreira: Stabat Mater (Date ca. 1560?) António Carreira was born around 1530 in Portugal. He was master of the royal chapel in Lisbon from 1564 and died about 1597.
