4.0 out of 5 stars Not As Good
The new EP from the Chemical Brothers entitled Response is not as good as one would think. Don't get me wrong this CD is still one of the best things you get and The Chemical Brothers are amazing as always but in contrast to thier past releases this one is not as upbeat but has 2 very good live tracks in the end. If you are someone who is mor into faster and upbeat...

3.0 out of 5 stars Mmm...This one is alright
After reading a few of reviews on this one, I was a little hesistant on getting once it showed itself at a Barnes & Noble music section. I have to take back the opinions running through my head though when I bought it. The 'Album Version' of Music: Response is definitely a track worth hearing over and over again, but that tracks is easily forgotten it seems...I never...

If you are someone who is mor into faster and upbeat techno or is just hearing of The Chemical Brothers I would say go with thier full length album "Dig Your Own Hole" but if you are already a hooked fan get this album to add to the collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some more information, please, April 9, 2000

I purchased this import several weeks ago and, having looked around the Web a bit, I found out it wasn't available in some areas yet. In case you are curious, the single contains five tracks: 1) Music: Response [album version]. 2)Freak of the Week [not bad; reminds me of tracks from Exit Planet Dust]. 3) Enjoyed [eight mintues containing some elements from Pri. Psych. Reel and other C.Bros. songs]. 4) Music: Response [Gentleman Thief Remix; pretty good] and 5) Music: Response [Futureshock Remix; very nice]. I gave this single four stars because of the last three tracks and, when compared to the previous singles for "Surrender" (which I thought were kinda skimpy), you get more for your money. My version was made in the EU.

After reading a few of reviews on this one, I was a little hesistant on getting once it showed itself at a Barnes & Noble music section. I have to take back the opinions running through my head though when I bought it. The 'Album Version' of Music: Response is definitely a track worth hearing over and over again, but that tracks is easily forgotten it seems...I never hear that much about it anyways. The two mixes of Music: Response I thought could've been a little more NOT BORING, I felt that they went nowhere with the beat and style and the people who mixed it slaughtered a great song by Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons. The LIVE cuts were pretty good, considering the face that 'Out Of Control' was an easier version and 'Got Glint ?' was somewhat the same sounding from 'Surrender'. My personal favorite was 'Freak of the Week' with its simple dance beat and mildly changing moods throughout. 'Enjoyed' was obviouslly a remix of 'Out Of Control' that was pretty interesting to listen to, but I'll stick with the original version from 'Surrender'. that's my review, thanks!

I remember searching for this group called the dust brothers and soon finding out about the two groups and legal problems. I remember buying Exit Planet Dust and Dig Your Own Hole and all the singles i could get.

I like the new album. Not as much...but I like it.

This is club music. This single is very wrong. If you want live tracks see the show.]

Oh wait, okay, if you like club music and the chemical brother (errr) woo, get this now, TODAY!
