5.0 out of 5 stars It's hard to beat Paul Weston for easy listening music, October 30, 2008
This review is from: Music for Romancing / Music for the Fireside (Audio CD)
Paul Weston was a genius orchestrator. From his earliest efforts with Tommy Dorsey, to the wonderful albums he created for his wife, Jo Stafford, his musicianship and good taste always shine through. If you'd like a sample of his skills at original composition I recommend "Crescent City Suite" - his homage to New Orleans.

Vintage Paul Weston Arrangements of standards from the 1930's & 1940's in his inimitable style. Comparable to his "Music For Dreaming" album. Any of you WWII vets and mates, take a listen. Ciao! Tony Philip

Orchids in the moonlight is a classic and good. the rest of the music sounds a little dated....very sleepy!
