None other then Prism, October 23, 2001

I had the pleasure of listening to this album and i have to say that i have yet to hear a saxophone quartet as young as Prism play with the fluency and musicianship as they do. This recording is both fun and inspiring for a young saxophonist, and the music they have selected for this CD could be at the top of any one saxophone player's standards. As an aspiring saxophonist myself, I was influenced to work harder to achieve the same level of playing with new and better standards. Blend, colors, tone, technical mastery, Prism has it all... Seeing them perform live was a great experience for me, but if you haven't had the pleasure, get this recording!
On a more personal note.... Drastic Measures by Russell Peck is my favorite piece for saxophone quartet (along with the Xenakis)
