BEST HOUSE SONG OF THE MILLENIUM, December 19, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Music Sounds Better with You (Audio CD)
Stardust's "Music Sounds Better with You" is that joint that makes you want to move. When I was in Europe this summer (London, Amsterdam, Prague, Greece, Italy, etc) and this song came on, everyone was feelin it and not one inch of the dance floor was open. If you like this song, definitely check out Armand van Helden's You Don't Know Me and Phats and Small's Turn Around...these songs where hot all summer in Europe! peace

By far, the best House - filter disco track ever made, October 4, 2002
This review is from: Music Sounds Better with You (Audio CD)
A note to those who have heard this song: I am disappointed that this CD is not more widely available to us that are eager to buy it. Funny that the label doesn't stock more. as it would sell like crazy don't you think?
I was reading a UK magazine called MUZIK that had an article called "The 10 most Influential Dance Tracks Ever" and they cited Daft Punk's "Da Funk" as spawning the whole filter disco movement within House music (disco is the founder of House like it or not).
MUZIK also listed 3 tunes that wouldn't exist without "Da Funk" and at the top of the list was Stardust "Music Sounds Better With You". I have been a long time fan of House, and Daft Punk so I found the song and immediately fell in love with it. I was singing it over and over at work and at home and driving my friends nuts making them listen to it!
So, like everyone said here in their reviews of the tune, it completely rocks no matter how you slice it and there are lot's of other re-mixes available in the form of Stardust Vs. category if you look hard enough (like Madonna's Holiday, Modjo's Lady, Armand Van Helden's You Don't Even Know Me, and a Nightcrawlers Push The Feeling On.
Also a DJ asked "Why isn't it available on wax"? Well, it is. Just look a little harder. I wish that the reviewers would site more songs that have an infectious groove like this song does, as I have been completely obsessed with finding similar artists & songs, but as one review said, it was the House song of the Millennium, so not much can compare with it.
I definitely recommend Armand Van Helden's "You Don't Even Know Me" and "10 Min of Funk" (a cool spin on Daft Punk's "Da Funk").
Also check out the Stardust vs Madonna's Holiday.
There is NO REASON WHY YOU SHOULD NOT OWN THIS SONG IF YOU LIKE HOUSE MUSIC! Just do it, and enjoy!

Imaging yourself, right there on Ibiza, dancing on the sand and the warm water touching your feets...This is what this song is about and no matter how old this trully masterpiece is, everytime that you'll listen to this "you're going to dance", believe me. It just get better and better. The best French House disco filtered song. Mr Bangalter + Mr Diamond + Mr Braxe , what else could you expect from this electronic genious?.
