BEST HOUSE SONG OF THE MILLENIUM,
By A Customer
This review is from: Music Sounds Better with You (Audio CD)
Stardust's "Music Sounds Better with You" is that joint that makes you want to move. When I was in Europe this summer (London, Amsterdam, Prague, Greece, Italy, etc) and this song came on, everyone was feelin it and not one inch of the dance floor was open. If you like this song, definitely check out Armand van Helden's You Don't Know Me and Phats and Small's Turn Around...these songs where hot all summer in Europe! peace

By far, the best House - filter disco track ever made,
By

A note to those who have heard this song: I am disappointed that this CD is not more widely available to us that are eager to buy it. Funny that the label doesn't stock more. as it would sell like crazy don't you think?I was reading a UK magazine called MUZIK that had an article called "The 10 most Influential Dance Tracks Ever" and they cited Daft Punk's "Da Funk" as spawning the whole filter disco movement within House music (disco is the founder of House like it or not). MUZIK also listed 3 tunes that wouldn't exist without "Da Funk" and at the top of the list was Stardust "Music Sounds Better With You". I have been a long time fan of House, and Daft Punk so I found the song and immediately fell in love with it. I was singing it over and over at work and at home and driving my friends nuts making them listen to it! So, like everyone said here in their reviews of the tune, it completely rocks no matter how you slice it and there are lot's of other re-mixes available in the form of Stardust Vs. category if you look hard enough (like Madonna's Holiday, Modjo's Lady, Armand Van Helden's You Don't Even Know Me, and a Nightcrawlers Push The Feeling On. Also a DJ asked "Why isn't it available on wax"? Well, it is. Just look a little harder. I wish that the reviewers would site more songs that have an infectious groove like this song does, as I have been completely obsessed with finding similar artists & songs, but as one review said, it was the House song of the Millennium, so not much can compare with it. I definitely recommend Armand Van Helden's "You Don't Even Know Me" and "10 Min of Funk" (a cool spin on Daft Punk's "Da Funk"). There is NO REASON WHY YOU SHOULD NOT OWN THIS SONG IF YOU LIKE HOUSE MUSIC! Just do it, and enjoy!

This single hits harder than a line of Peruvian white. I have heard this song at least 300 times and its just gets better. I burned it onto a cd and put it in my college bar and every single time it comes on the mood in the place picks way up. If you dig this track you will love Cassius at least they can put a full album out. Get your act together stardust and hook us up!!!!!!!

I first heard this song from a club in Philly and then heard it in Miami and riffs of it sampled on MTV! I finally have it in my possession and I must say, it was well worth the wait! The groove/bass/lyrics of this song rates this as one of the BEST HOUSE songs of the millenium, period. What clubhead wouldn't agree with the lyrics? When you're dancin with someone you want to be with, there are few things in life better than that! Within seconds of hearing this song, you WILL be out on that dance floor whether it's in a club or your living room, Guaranteed!

House Music With A Twist,
By A Customer
This review is from: Music Sounds Better with You (Audio CD)
The Music Sounds Better With You is one of the best house songs that has come out in a long time. Its one of those songs that you can't resist, and it gets your butt out onto the dance floor. I have heard plenty of techno and house recordings, but this is one of the ones I like the best. They remind me of a cross between Fat Boy Slim and Daft Punk. If you have a true appreciation for dance music, pick this ditty up.

Great French house with mellow basslines and crafty disco riff. Great job the Daft Punk guy. Check out the Madonna vs. Stardust remix and Gin n Tonic. -Dj NuYorikan Seoul

The best Disco House track of all times!!,

When i first heard this track I really felt the sudden thrills running down on me. To me it is the best danceable Disco House track I have ever heard. I would put it in the same category with the funky track "Groovejet" by Spiller from Italy. There are several versions of the track, and I personally have 7 minute long Dimitri version on the compilation "Paris i sleeping - Respect is burning". No more nonsense! Just go and get it. You won't regret it!!

A Classic,

Anyone 25 and over will recognize the sampling of a much earlier tune which escapes me. However, the tune is eminently danceable. Not the hyper, "jumping-bean" type of dance music, more a funky, cool - chic, even - track. Seems to beckon all types to the dance floor. That said, the song is very simply constructed and uncomplicated. Track 1 is perhaps the best version - even track 2 as it's merely an extension or 1. But the simple recording is so tasty, the remixes pale in comparison.
