"Music From The South Pacific" (Arc Music, 2009) ------------------------------------------------ Highly recommended! This is a lively, fun, rich set of traditional Tahitian music, alternating between vocal numbers and the rough-hewn, breakneck percussion style the island is famous for. Local dance groups will find this a rich resource, and casual listeners will also find this to be quite enjoyable. There's also some really hot ukulele playing, along with the unusual but alluring vocal harmonies. If it sounds at all interesting to you, you'll definitely want to check this out.
