It's great.... if you used with the Internet!,
This review is from: Music Theory for Beginners (Music Books Series) (Paperback)
The edition being reviewed probably isn't the greatest as a stand-alone, but now this book is internet linked and it's terrific. I got it from the library, and was so impressed that I am now about to buy it from Amazon.
The book is aimed at a younger audience, but it's rich with information that would challange adults-- too much information for casual reading. In newer editions that information is reinforced with exercises on the Usborne website. The publishers allow the book to do what books do well-- provide text for reading and study. Then, they allow the Internet to do what it does well-- provide interactive multi-media content. I think it's a great concept. |
