Music Theory for non-Music majors
I use this book in a college course that I teach called Applied Music. It is one hour of theory and one hour of performance. I like the workbook format of this book and the size of the staff to work with. It is a good book to start with.

never came
My book was sent to the wrong house, and then deemed "undeliverable". It took about 3 weeks for me to find out that it wouldn't be coming, and about another week for me to get my refund, but I got my refund and was able to purchase the book at the school bookstore, which ended up being cheaper. It was a waste of time, but the refund went smoothly, which is why I gave 2...
