This is a beautiful shakuhachi CD. If you like pure, quiet, contemplative music, this album is bliss.

Of all Riley Lee's shakuhachi recordings this is the most traditional. Lee's mastery of the genre is superb and the music provides the perfect accompaniment for meditation or tai chi as well as just sitting back, relaxing and enjoying.

I can't speak highly enough about Riley Lee's music. He is The Master! Several years ago I heard one minute clip on the internet from Riley Lee's CD. That was enough to transform my whole life and get me into studying of shakuhachi. I have been practicing yoga and martial arts since early 80's. Shakuhachi music became indispensable part of my daily practice.
I highly recommend these CDs!

This CD is very good. The individual pieces of music are very soothing and it is possible to clear away the days events with the light flute.

This is a great double cd by Riley Lee. I use it during the shavasana stage of my yoga class with great appreciation by my students. Well worth the price for the double cd.

This cd is AMAZING!!

I can go deep into meditation state effortlessly just by listening to this cd. Really, it helps a lot in my meditation.

And just like its title, I think this music will be tremendous help in silent sitting (zen) meditation, but not for yoga or tai chi, because the music is too silent.

Highly recommended if you're looking for zen meditation music.

Although you are not supposed to listen any music when you practice zazen, there's a lot of music under the label "Music for Zen Meditation", but this Riley Lee's double CD accomplished and surpassed my expectations of shakuhachi played as a form of meditation (like the komus'o used to do in the Fuke sect). I mainly play the second CD (Duets) which is among the best I ever heard. Nice CD indeed.

I love this CD! I bought it to help my teenage daughter relax at bedtime since she has so much trouble falling asleep. The gentle sound of the gongs and horns have lulled her to sleep many nights. There are 2 CDs so I get to relax as well! Very nice.

This is an awesome CD for any yoga instructors---it's soothing and calming. My students really enjoy it!

The CD is very relaxing and soothing. I use it when I have too much on my mind and can't sleep.
