This review is from: Inca Roads (Audio CD)
This is a great CD for Zappa fans, particularly fans of his classical music. The OWE is entirely winds, brass & percussion (OK, and string bass). Tracks are Inca Roads, How Could I Be Such a Fool, Revised Music for a Low Budget Orchestra, Let's Make the Water Turn Black, The Black Page no. 2, no. 7, Igor's Boogie, Be-Bop Tango, Alien Orifice, Dog Breath Variations, Uncle Meat, Sinister Footwear, Brown Shoes Don't Make It, Peaches En Regalia, (and for some reason, Ravel's "Bolero"). Great job by a diverse group.

This is SACD version of same titled CD.
All other Omnibus Wind Ensemble's stuff are out of print now this is only way to you can enjoy their music. All music composed by Frank Zappa except track 15 Bolero by Maurice Ravel. If you ever wondering why they play "Bolero" check "The Best Band You Never Heard In your Life". |
