This review is from: Musica Popular Cubana [CD-Rom] (Audio CD)
A tour through Cuban musical genres, from its origin's to present day. The roots of the music that is most popular nowdays in the world. The African Heritage, the Song, the Son, the Danzon, the Jazz, the Country Music, the Rock, the Pop and the tradition of the Vocal Groups. Others interesting sections: Photo Gallery, more than 300 images of the greatest composers and singers who have taken Cuban music to the international stage, Video Gallery, 50 samples, Music Gallery, more than 100 soundtracks featuring Cuban music and its performers of today and all times and, Dictionary, 350 entries with description and images. This is a 2 cd-rom box with 1 just of audio samples which you can put in a cd player & 1 of audio & video just for your computer. The best aspect is the video clips. I found this to be very good for the person interested in Cuban dance history. I had already brought a copy of this cd-rom in Cuba. Different cover but same cd-rom. Same title. But it will make a great gift for a friend interested in Cuban music history.
