This review is from: Musica Sacra in Colonia: de Lassus: Missa Susanne Un Jour / da Monte: Misse Sine Nomine (Audio CD)
I've bought this cd some days ago,and I've listened to it five times already. It's a huge exception for me. Usually I'm listening to a same record twice in a month. The cd is dedicated to three different composers from the same era. From the controversial 16th century nothern europe. It seems to me that the blossom of those individuals has a lot to do with religious and political unstability of those days. I've got almost every item in Roland Wilson's discography. With the exception of Rosenmuller's requiem that was lately recorded for Sony Vivarte,I was not dissapointed in Wilson's choice of program and in a quality of a performance. "Musica Sacrae in Colonia" is one of those diverse, virtuoso cd's I'll treasure as one of the best in my collection.
