If you are not using these bells for musical purpose (as a scale or scale degrees), they should suit your needs fine (as the two five-star reviews have said). However, IF YOU ARE USING THESE BELLS FOR ANY MUSICAL PURPOSE (accompaniment, scale, individual playing) they will not work for you. Please continue reading.

I ordered these bells for use in music therapy sessions. The concept is perfect, but the bells are next to terrible. The tone is okay; however, the notes are completely off. The first two bells begin the scale fine, but after that the bells are not tuned correctly. The third scale degree is almost the fourth, the fourth is a tritone from the first, and so on. The scale ends as almost (not quite) a 9th above the beginning note (not the perfect octave). I am VERY displeased with these bells, and I will NOT be ordering from this company again. In fact, I will probably be returning these bells as I cannot use them in the way that a musician would intend to use them.

So I ordered these bells for something other than musical delight. I needed a set of desk bells with distinct sounds. We have yet to hire a receptionist at the office and need to know who the client needs to talk to, to save the trouble of stepping away from our desks each and every time the door opens. We each have our own note. After a few times learning the differences in sounds, all 8 of us have our own distinct ding.

These are GREAT! Colorful, loud, and do the job. I received them today and played every song on the music sheet that comes with the product. My co-workers loved my new talent/skill. They would be perfect for a child to learn some classics, like Old Macdonald and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. For the price, its worth the musical fun! They can also serve other (work-related) purposes too! And as a prime customer, it was supposed to arrive in 2 days but they sent them overnight at no additional cost. Thank you Amazon!
