Musical Monkey is one of the best punk records ever. I don't care what everyone else thinks. Do the Hustle(Skaters Anthem) and Big Pink Dress really stand out, but all the tracks are good. I think it kicks ass that Guttermouth can have a sense of humor about everything. Most bands today try to look all tough and pissed off all the time, but not Guttermouth. If you like punk, also check out Hi-Standard.

A kid I know just found this cd on the road by his house. It was all scratched up so I asked him for it, only knowing it was punk but never before hearing any of Guttermouth's music. Once I listened to it, I could not comprehend how much I had been missing out. This cd is not only hilarious, but it is true punk rock. It has a perfect blend of guitar, drums, and a real punk voice. You won't know why your crying. Is it because it is just that funny, or are they tears of joy knowing you are listening to the best punk cd ever? I still don't know. Perfect World and Lipstick are my favorite songs, if I had to choose, but they all just totally rock. I have since bought three other Guttermouth cds, and to be honest, I have been let down. I now realize that they, or anyone else, will never be able to top Musical Monkey. This is simply the best punk cd there is, was, or ever will be. You will not be able to take it out of your cd player to listen to something that is not going to be nearly as good. Stop reading this and buy this cd. NOW!

this album is up there with NOFXs punk in drublic as the best punk albums ive heard.its awesome with songs like perfect world,lipstick and do the hustle.if you get this cd it wont leave your cd player.it rocks, get it now

THis is Easily guttermouth's best cd and one of the best punk cds of all time. All the songs are abosolutly A Grade and there isnt one that you wont laugh at or not want to listen to over and over again. Pitty this the last cd with their old drummer.
Bakers Dozen is proply my favorite song on it, but i think every song on this cd was my favorite at one stage.

More punk than Blink 182, and more humor. These guys simply put, ROCK. go get covered with ants, musical monkey, and Gusto. They are all great cd and i recommend them to everyone unless ur a die hard fan of pop punk and nothing else. Anyone that likes punk rock will love guttermouth. THEY ARE GONNA BE ON THE JIMMY KIMMEL SHOW. EVERYONE WATCH!

With Guttermouth you almost either love them or hate them. Same thing goes with their albums, well for me anyways, I either love them or hate them. This is i believe where they hit their stride just perfectly. Musical Monkey is composed mainly through insults and that's what Guttermouth does best so that's probably why this is their best album. Lyrically it's pretty immature as are all Guttermouth releases which definatley isn't a bad thing. They're not funny like the Vandals, but more like just straight up insults. They don't get five stars because of lack of originality, there are some songs that sound the same and Marks juvenile insults can drag on you after a while. But with songs like "Perfect World" "Do the Hustle" and "Lipstick" it can put any negative feelings to rest. It's a shame what happened to Guttermouth, the last two albums have been so poppy making for a difficult listen... you don't wanna hear Mark make jokes about relationships over some mainstream style punk riff... you wanna hear him call rollerbladers ....
If you have any interest in Guttermouth pick this up, if you've only heard the new stuff though and you like it... you might wanna borrow it first to try it out cuz it gets pretty offensive.

I've never really paid attention to punk music since Blink 180-whatever went POP, that was, until I bought this cd. WOW! This is a GREAT CD! I have cd's from NOFX, MXPX, and Sum 41, but none of them have the talent Guttermouth has. Though some of the jokes are immature, reminding me back when I Blinked, the music and over-all hardcoreness and originality of this album stray far from those over-grown Junior-High-Schoolers, who should go down in history as a shame to Punk Music. Great CD Guttermouth, I am going to buy some more Guttermouth CD's now :)

Best guttermouth CD. It's musically and lyrically delicious. Offensive and hilarious, definitely Guttermouth at their best. If you haven't heard guttermouth before, buy this CD and you will fall in love.
