"Bought the album in April 2006. Shared with Bob & Blenn over our Chanhassen weekend, May 2006. Bought the karaoke album in June 2006. Used the karaoke album at DemiCon in July 2006. Saw it at Des Moines Civic Center in November 2007. Saw it at NIACC in 2010. Forbidden Broadway parodies: You Gotta Get a Puppet & It Sucks to be Us."
"Saw it at Chanhassen, October 2002 (tenth anniversary). It was my second time; I saw it at the Chimera with my dad in the mid-to-late eighties. Chimera's Guinevere was prettier, but Chanhassen's sang better. Chimera's Lancelot definitely had the character down better--he wasn't smirking at the audience during "C'est Moi.""
"Saw in Solvang while on vacation, June 2007. God help me, Nathan wants to learn "Getting Married Today"--Amy's part, not Paul's. I'm not kidding. We may have to download both 1970's & 2006's versions to the iPod."
"Wouldn't it be nice if one knew ahead of time which songs were in the show? Chanhassen's 2001 production (my birthday) covered several albums. My dream list includes parodies of everything here, plus Think Punk, Let's Run Times Square Again, the Show Boat medley, Be Depressed, If I Sing it Slower, and the Rent parodies too numerous to mention."
"Got the cd for my birthday in 2006 (thanks, Sarah & Richard!). The karaoke cd is on my wish list. Now that we've seen it (July 2007, Twin Cities), Nathan wants the karaoke disc too. Saw it again in Des Moines, Dec. 2008. Seeing it for the 3rd time with Rusty at NIACC, January 2011."
"Forbidden Broadway parody: Ballad of Teeny Todd. We have the dvd (my birthday, forget who from). It was loaned to Blenn with Into the Woods. Saw it at NIACC Oct. 2008--Carrie Cigma (Mrs. Lovett) rocks!"
"Forbidden Broadway parody: Phantom of the Musical. We own the 2004 movie and soundtrack. Because of this, I can now hear all the places in the 1986 London cast recording where Sarah Brightman goes flat."
"Got the cd for my birthday in 2006 (thanks, Dad!). Planning to see a touring production of it locally in March of 2008. Would rather have a dvd of the Broadway production than the movie. Forbidden Broadway parody: Das Mel Brooks Song."
