With bass guitar case prices being what they are, I searched on Amazon to get a case that would protect my new bass after bringing it home from a local vendor. The vendor wanted about a hundred dollars for a bass guitar case, and I ended up taking it home "naked," unwilling to pay that much. AM I GLAD!

My advice on items like this is to shop around. You can pay a lot more for the same exact item somewhere else, and most chain stores sell at elevated prices (compared to online).

The construction of this case is nothing out of the ordinary, but it does well for what I paid; I don't expect to get the same as something ten times its' price. For what I paid, this case is a bargain, and I would recommend it over the $100 one because it IS a much better value. The money left over got spent on other items on my Wish List. You can do the same. All my best!

No this is not a high end case but for what you pay you get a sturdy case that serves its purpose and does the job well. Outer shell, latches, inner lining are adequate and well constructed.

As others have stated, this is great for storage and short range transport to and from, or in transport situations where protection isn't a main concern.

Its basically used when a gig bag would suffice, but you want a cool case for gig bag prices.


The inside is the padding most musical instruments and it fit my SRX series Ibanez. Its generic so it doesn't have neck protection.


It has good storage space for accessories and where the neck rests you can keep cleaning rags or other items (if you don't mind them bumping into the guitar).

The case is not as solid as I thought it would be. Its a little on the flimsy side, but you get what you pay for.

I would not trust this case handle if I had to run with it, or to protect my guitar when I take it on flights, or stacking other guitar cases on top of it. Get those combat hard plastic cases if you need protection.


Also the case doesn't line up when you close it (Sometimes it does) and at times you have to give personal attention to latches. The key lock takes some playing but works overall. But the lock is an after thought, someone really wanting to open it can use a tool to pop the locks or hinges . . .

Its not like those expensive and uber cases where you shut it, run a finger across the locks and it locks like in the movies.

The looks are above what its price is. Though the vinyl is average to touch, and plastic / metal parts cheap, it looks like much more expensive case.

The stitching is actually well done. There aren't loose ends or odd pieces, and case looks well put together.



Cons . . .

The only cons is basically this case is a glorified gig bag. It offers no real protection above a gig bag would offer.




In summary this is great case for the price. I would get another one if I needed it, but practicality would have me invest in a case that offers hardcore protection.

This is my first bass case, and I decided to get this one because of the other reviews. I was very excited to find I had purchased a quality case. When I showed the case to my experienced friend, he had trouble believing I got the thing for the price I did.

My bass fits perfectly inside it, and does not slide or move around at all. The inside is a very soft almost fur-like fabric. There is also a compartment of decent size that is perfect for an extra strap, picks, electric tuner, or whatever you need. Overall this is a great case and I recommend it to anyone.

I like this case. My bass fits nicely. I couldn't tell what the outside looks like from the picture, so I was pleasantly surprized when out of the box comes this sleek black leather-look case. It has gold-tone latches on it. I used to worry about damaging my bass in transit. Now I worry about damaging the nice case I have. :)

I purchased this case for my grandson who got a bass guitar for Christmas. We got a fantastic price on it, I think it was $40.00, and it is very well made and will last for years. Only thing that would improve it would be padded handles, or leather wrapped handles instead of the hard plastic.

Just received the case this week. It is an awesome value for the money.
It shipped fast and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended unless you plan to drive over the top of it. The quality exceeds the price.

I ordered a bass for my teenage daughter & wanted a high quality case. The case arrived within two days and exceeded expectations. The price was fantastic. I would highly recommend to others.

I wanted to get my hubby a new case for Christmas and I found this one. He loves it...inside and out! Holds his "baby" ...securely! Looks really good! Easy to wipe down on the outside. Will probably buy another one.

This hardcase is not perfect in quality but considering the lowest price among hardshell cases, this can be one of good choice protecting a bass guitar never minding case damage.
