I've heard a lot of bad opinions on these but for the price they are well worth it. A matter of fact I've had no problems with mine, I've got 20 of them and constantly use them in studio and live.

These don't have Neutric type ends, but I knew that going in. Each end has a small phillips screw that holds the barrel on and I know they have a tendency to work their way loose and then you loose the screw. I fixed this problem years ago when I would buy these type of cables by taking them apart as soon as I got the cables home and put a little drop of lock-tite on the screw and put them back together. Haven't lost a screw since and do this with all of these type of cables now.

Cheap price on mic cables. 2 out of 10 failed so far. The price makes them acceptable. Keep plenty of spares and it will be ok.

I ordered these XLR cables mainly because of the price (lesson hard learned not to do that again). The cables were shipped promptly and arrived on time. When they were used at an event none of them worked. We took the cables apart to troubleshoot and instead of 2 wires and a shield (as an XLR cable should have) there were just 2 wires and then a soldered connection between two of the pins on the XLR connectors.

When contacted the company did not respond and Amazon had to step in and make the situation right (which much to their credit they did very quickly and to my satisfaction).

Do not buy these cables or any product from this company.

Have attempted to plug these in to several pieces of equipment without success. The female ends seem to plug ok; male ends have a chamfer cut inside so they will "lock" and this chamfer appears to be incorrect for use in many XLR connections.

I have requested an RMA from the supplier and will update this review with the results of the return process.

UPDATE 06-17-2011 Item returned to seller and full refund issued for items. A bit difficult to contact seller but overall very satisfied with seller's response.

Unbelievable price! Usually you get what you pay for, but not with these cables. They click snugly into position beautifully & provide a quality output. Anyone on a budget for home recording will realize that they're not just settling for what they can afford - they will realize that they have just got a crazy bargain! ...seriously, you'll be thinking "why are these so cheap? I don't get it... I better check they sent the right ones..."

I would have liked longer cords but could not pass up this great deal. They seem to be well made and are working for us right now.

I have no issues with these. If you just wrap them correctly with overlapping loops, any cable -- including these -- will last for a long time. They seem to be quiet and the connections so far are holding up ok. I use them in the studio, not live. I don't know if in a live environment they could be subject to more abuse and fail but then again it's all about of handling them correctly.

You get what you pay for as these worked good for 10 or 12 gigs but then at least 3 of them were faulty. Too delicate (especially the actual end connectors) to last for road use. Might be OK for fixed installation or usage.
