Not much to review - it looks exactly like it does in the picture.I gave it 4 stars because I thought it would have come with screws, but it didn't. Other than that it's very nice, especially for only 10 bucks

Good quality pickguard - well shielded,

I ordered this pickguard expecting to have to lay down some shielding tape. Quality guard and well shielded as it comes. Compared to the stock pickguard on my strat, this guard is easily comparable and handily outdoes the fender on shielding. No screws with the guard, but I expected that. Got the black one.

When I bought this pickguard, I thought that it already had the holes for the pots drilled, but after closer inspection I had to drill the holes myself because they were not there. If I looked at the picture more carefully, I would have realized, but because of my carelessness, I did not. Anyway, the guard is a great replacement to a broken or word down one, and you can also use it as a replacement for most copies of the Fender Strat. You should only attempt to replace the pickguard if you either know what you are doing or have deatiled instructions, for it can be a daunting task the first time. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and will certainly buy from the seller again.

holes for the pick ups are not deep so certain screws, which do not come with pick guard, will stick out. I had to take my guitar, a Squier Affinity Strat, and the new pick guard to a local store to get the pick guard fixed and put on the guitar. Overall, its pretty good, as long as your willing to put out extra cash.

Do not expect this to fit an American STD Strat. The mounting holes do not line up and the lower bout, where the control routes are located, are offset as well. I got what I paid for. ;(Unusable for me as I refuse to butcher an expensive guitar for a cheep pick guard.

the only thing you want to check for is the screw's so that they match up well, on my guitar all fit except 2 of the holes which were an inch an 1/2 off, so make sure you match it before purchase

Snazzy Looking Pickguard,

I bought this pickguard to pimp my '57 reissue strat. Usually I like to keep my guitars looking as stock as possible but, I thought the original white pickguard was a little bland. My bandmates think my guitar looks better with the new black guard and I tend to agree. The cost of this pickguard is cheaper than the Big Name replacement, so I was a little apprehensive. Visually, it is top notch. I had to trim the guard around the neck area a little just to make the holes line up(no big deal). The guard is also thinner and less rigid than an original 3 ply stock guard (again no big deal). Only time will tell how it will hold up after many gigs and variations in climate (cold winter cars, hot scorching outdoor summer gigs) which might cause the thinner plastic to warp and shrink. My suggestion is if you own a MIM, MIJ or wannabe strat, this pickguard is a great buy, but if you own the REAL(Made in the USA)DEAL go for the licensed by (YOU KNOW WHO) product.
