A plus: audio CD uses different microphones,

Perhaps the best thing I learned from this book is an invaluable lesson: get good microphones. Before I had this book, I did not own a Neumann mic, but after listening to the audio examples, it became apparent that it would greatly improve my recordings, and it did! He also uses the ubiquitous Avalon compressor/channel strip, which is practically standard issue.Although many people use software compressors, he clearly demonstrates how to effectively use side-chaining with outboard, dedicated compressors. Without the CD, this book would be of no value, but the audio examples definitely make it worth every penny.

One of the things I liked this book was the cd with the tracks inside, it s very nice to hear the examples in practice, but I think it would be great if the book brings more information about effects and equalizing tips for vocals
