Book Description

Welcome to Weston Locher's Musings on Minutiae where the author offers up hilarious observations and insights on topics of great importance such as: Living in an urban apartment complex ("...if I become an admitted pet owner, then I have to pay not only a several hundred dollar deposit to the apartment complex, but I'm pretty sure that they also reserve the right to harvest some of my bodily organs..."), life with felines ("...as I'm walking anywhere in my apartment. They scamper in front of my legs, causing me to fall and face plant into whatever furniture is closest. They especially like to play this game when I'm carrying piping hot coffee."), his childhood memories ("Our family was nearly torn apart on several occasions by arguments started when the refrigerator door was open for what my father deemed as `too long.'"), and much more.

Chock full of humorous essays and personal anecdotes, Musings on Minutiae will keep you laughing for as long as you have a pulse.

About the Author

Weston Locher is an Ohio native who escaped the state because he was tired of being cold and wet in the winter and overheated in the summer. Mostly, he left because his parents refused to believe in the concept of air conditioning. Being the sum of a journalist father and an English teacher mother he was doomed to a life of writing before he was able to consciously make the decision for himself. He chose to write humor because his parents made the mistake of telling him that he was funny. This is further proof of why you shouldn't lie to your children.

Locher's column, "101 Ways to Hurt Yourself: A Children's Guide to Recess,″ was named as a semi-finalist in HumorPress.com's bi-monthly America's Funniest Humor! writing contest. Other writing awards and recognitions earned by Locher include having the majority of his columns printed out by his parents and hung on their refrigerator. The author currently resides in Orlando, Florida.

What can I say.......... but I loved it! I was bothering my family with "read this part" or "listen to this one"! Lots of real Laugh Out Loud moments too.

Short little musings about all sorts of different things. Like unusual things that happened while growing up (we all can relate to those) being out on your own, having CATS! we all have been there too! Enjoyed them all, my favorites, really liked the dentist one, angry feline and loved grandmas comment! So many funny things I can't write them all down and make this a short review. Loved reading about his family.

For a debut book I was really impressed and look forward to read more from Weston Locher in the future!

This is a great collection of very funny stuff. The author pulls you right in to each memory, each observation, as he looks back, looks forward and looks around at the stuff we all do - and the stuff we all have done TO us. You'll never forget the hilarious story "Mayonnaise," guaranteed. Guaranteed. Looking forward to more from this guy!
