This book is incredible! The only resourse you will ever need if you want to combine the passion of fly fishing with the addiction of muskie fishing. My self, a life long fly fisher and muskie fisherman, I love the book and will refer to it often. My hats off to Robert and this beautiful work. Lot's and lot's of sound information to hone your skill's or get started in the sport. Where ever you skills are, this book will teach you something new. Exceptional photography, high gloss production, worth every penny!

I spend a lot of time each year fly fishing and tying flies for the amazing muskie. I must admit that I was skeptical of this book at first, but Robert Tomes did not disappoint. Very detailed with a nice balance of illustrations and photographs. This guy knows his stuff and his passion for this amazing fish is clear. I would recommend it to anyone interested in pursuing musky on a fly rod, both beginner and seasoned angler.

This book is great and not just for fly anglers either. If you fish muskies with gear or use flies for other large predatory fish this is the book you have been wating for. With tackle and rigging advice, flies and fly recipes and a list of guides and prime musky water, this book has it all. Well written and easy to understand with beautiful color photographs it was just a joy to look at. I would highly recomend this book to any serious angler no matter what your favorite species is.

Outstanding book,
This review is from: Muskie on the Fly (Masters on the Fly series) (Hardcover)
This is the definitive book on fly fishing techniques to catch muskies. Pictures, discussions, diagrams are all excellent. The book would be valuable even for the bait casters and those of us who fish northern pike and other large gamefish. It is worth the money.

Great book on an amazing subject. If you like flyfishing but also have a desire for big, angry fish without taking a trip to salt water, this is for you. Rob covers every conceivable detail and puts you in a position, assuming you have the basics skills and access to Muskie waters, to succeed. His passion for the subject is evident. Years from now, this will be viewed as the bible for hunting Muskie with a fly rod.
