Historical Magnificence, March 2, 2007

There are certain recordings that even dated acoustics can't diminish. This is one of them. Usually this music crys out for state-of-the-art sonics to do it justice but Koussevitzky's magic is so compelling in these works that you are overwhelmed by the sheer majesty of the performance. History has its rewards!
