5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic read, great information! May 11, 2011

Format:Paperback
This book is a must have for anyone interested in using whole foods to create and maintain ultimate health and vitality over all, as well as in very specific ways which are geared primarily toward women. It is a fun and easy read, with information that is practical, well researched, and even though I thought I knew a lot in this area, very enlightening. I have already made a few of the recipes and they are delicious. It perfectly explains how and why we really are what we eat. I loved it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, Wholesome Book! August 27, 2011
Format:Paperback
The way this book is organized, with recipes at the end and every topic talked about in depth but nothing too scientific, makes it a great read. The perfect book for those getting started in the wholesome food path, or those already in it but needed a few key reminders. She explains why ingredients cause what they cause, how you can turn over a new leaf and make your body beautiful, inside and out. Directed mostly to females, her tone is casual and very lighthearted, making you read this book quickly and leaves you feeling as if you talked to an old friend. Some topics/chapters in the book: Food-Mood Connections, Anxiety and Stress, Sleep, Metabolism Food/Beauty Connection and delicious recipes, plus a resource guide to help you find great food products!

5.0 out of 5 stars High energy foods! November 28, 2011
By zjewell
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
First, I bought the book, Thrive by Brendan Brazier, then I checked out his website and found Peggy's book. Upon subscribing to Brendan's newsletter, I came across a video of Peggy making quinoa cookies. She had so much energy and was so informative that I ordered her book from Amazon. Right away I made the quinoa cookies and they were a big hit at Thanksgiving, and so was the book. My daughter loved it so much that she took it with her. Time to order another book (for me) so I can make more great recipes and finish reading the excellent nutritional information! Thank you soooooo much Peggy!

This book was good but the recipes were a bit off the charts and the items were hard to find in a local supermarket.

I had seen this lady on TV making some of her goodies, but when I got the book there are very few recipes, that aren't that exciting! The book is tiny, not what I expected. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Good
As much as I like Amazon, I cannot stand that they require me to write something when the stars should be enough, unless I feel there should be more
