Typically I don't buy movie soundtracks or compilation albums as they leave a great deal to be desired. However, this soundtrack provides you with a combination of old and new music and successfully blends them together for your listening pleasure. I would recommend it highly for anyone who enjoyed the movie.

I really have enjoyed ths CD. I've been getting a few soundtracks lately and this one is among my favorites.

Feel good romance movie. You can't miss with Diane Lane and John Cusack. Excellent cast.

Bluenote, I believe the song you're looking for is I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business - The Best Happiness Money Can Buy.

This is a good selection of songs but, I was looking for the song from the trailer. It was a nice acoustic guitar sounding thing. Where is it, what is it? A great song. I'm still looking and hoping that song is in the movie.

fabulous script writing -- lots of subtext and unspoken text that the viewer gets to fill in, and makes us more a part of the film.

great acting, great story -- thanks to the novel version -- and a warm, endearing boost of cheer to get any singleton back in the dating game.

theme of a broken heart grows back bigger is like a big hug.

and excellent use of lighting and camera motion/work. not pronounced, but very very very effective.

songs will make any female viewer smile -- yup, this is how it is.

bravo and brava to everyone involved.

only thing missing was more dog time.

So apparently for this flick you must not only love dogs, but bad soundtracks as well. I don't know what's going on here, but I don't like it. The CD is comprised of a mix of country songs and overused classics that need to be left alone. There's a decent song or two from artists like Ryan Adams, but a song or two can't always save an entire album. The final straw of my annoyance with this CD would have to be the last track, straight from the movie I'd imagine, where the actors get together and sing "Come On Get Happy." Maybe this is supposed to be funny.....I'm not laughing. Maybe the whole album is suppose to be funny, but to me it seems like one big, corny, Hollywood joke.
