Probably the most boring book I've ever read,
This review is from: It Must Be Love (Paperback)
Sorry, but this book was appalling and I don't know how it was ever published. I picked it up (cheaply) at a shop at Dun Laoghaire port and was glad I only paid 2 Euros for it. The whole premise of the book was unbelievable - heroine runs away in the middle of the night (on the eve of her wedding) because she overhears her fiance bemoaning his deceased first wife? What a wimp! Why didn't she at least have the guts to talk to him about it? One never got any feel of any real emotion - and the chapters devoted to the various friends she met in Ireland were annoying and totally irrelevant to the story. I struggled to page 150 and gave up. It meandered along annoyingly without any real purpose and was littered with author descriptions of clothes and rooms in houses which bored me to tears. Basically, it was like a ten-year-old's story. Avoid it!
