I like Mustad products. This is an excellent fillet knife, wonderfully agile and thin. Good sturdy sheath.
Honestly I don't use the spoon feature much, but it's there.
At the current price, this is quite a bargain.

Good ergonomics in the hand. Nonslip, even when wet. Does what it's supposed to and does it well.

Hope this is helpful. Happy fishing, everybody.

blade snapped in two after about 8 fish. premium german steel indeed. Still, you get what you pay for, I suppose. Just don't expect it to last very long.

The package indicates 420 stainless for blade as well as spoon, but the co-molded handle is secure, the blade nicely shaped with good flex qualities, and the sheath is substantial.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this knife. It is made in China, and I cannot attest to the metallurgy, but I have no problems applying a steel or hone when indicated. Stupendous value for the price I paid at Amazon.

It is a great bargain for a great knife. Super sharp and easy to handle. The first project I used it for was pumpkin carving... it went through the rinds like butter.

This knife has a good feel and flex to it, but it broke after using it about 5 times. The metal is cheap and it snapped at the base.

At first I was shocked how big the knife was...I didn't realize how big a 9 inch blade really was. This being said I got excited to fillet with it. I tested to see if it was sharp and it cut me easily, so I thought it was probably pretty sharp. I was cut several times by this knife and it seemed sharp when it cut me, but I think it is actually rather inconsistently sharp and needs some sharpening. Cutting through perch wasn't nearly as easy as it usually was. As for the spoon...it wasn't all that it was cracked up it be...I used it for scooping out guts, but I think its best purpose would be for scaling a fish.
